Barbara S. Richardson

Barbara S. Richardson (née Sexton), 85, of West Chester, PA passed away on September 23, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in 1940 in Montclair, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Virginia (Hilleary) Sexton.

Barbara was a 1958 graduate of St. Agnes Irwin Girls’ Preparatory School in Wynnewood, PA. She worked as a Secretary for DuPont Chemical Company.

Barbara loved reading and was an avid sports fan and, in younger years, played tennis, field hockey and basketball. She enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles and tennis tournaments. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends when they played bridge several times a week.

Most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and hearing all of their stories.

Barbara was the loving mother of Karen M. Bramley (Harry); devoted grandmother of David, Gini, Tommy and Julie; dear sister of Virginia Pitrofsky (Joseph).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2025 followed by her Funeral Service 12:00 PM at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
