Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
Barbara Ann Polinski, affectionately known as “Bippie” or simply “Grandma,” of Westtown, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on June 20, 2025. She was a woman of grace and style, whose warmth and unwavering devotion to her family—and to the beauty of the world around her—touched everyone she met.
Born in Santa Ana, California, Barbara also had roots in Cherry Point, NC, and spent her younger years in Scranton, PA, where she attended South Scranton Catholic High. Shortly after marrying Tom, she moved to Westchester, NY, and worked in New York City for Tishman Realty and later for the Houston-based Greenway Plaza. They eventually settled in West Chester, PA, where they raised their son, Drew.
Barbara spent many years in the juried craft market creating SpiceArt and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the little things. She was a proud perfectionist, known for her creativity, impeccable taste in decorating, and her ability to transform her home into a seasonal wonderland—especially during the holidays. Her love for flowers and birds brought her joy in the spring and summer, while winter was marked by twinkling lights and cherished traditions.
Barbara had a keen eye for a good deal and was a loyal QVC shopper. She adored animals, especially her beloved Gordon Setters, birds, and even a neighborhood fox she named Willie, who visits nightly for a treat. Her love for nature extended to frequent visits to local gardens Longwood and Winterthur, where she found peace and inspiration.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Polinski; her devoted son, Drew Polinski (Dawn); and her cherished granddaughters, Keira and Jordyn Polinski. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Charles Little, and her mother, Elanor Elizabeth Ann Warnke.
Barbara’s legacy lives on in the stories she told, the traditions she upheld, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Barbara’s life at her funeral services. A visitation will be held on July 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Church in West Chester, PA, followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara’s memory would be appreciated to the Natural Lands https://www.natlands.org/donate/, honoring her love for nature and wildlife.
