Barbara Ann Megill

Barbara Ann Megill (née Kilduff), passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born November 4, 1939, in New York, Barbara grew up in the close-knit East Falls neighborhood, where she graduated from Little Flower High School. She was the devoted wife of Wayne Megill for 61 years and together in 1969 they co-founded the family business Megill Construction, which continues to carry on her legacy. Barbara was dedicated to family, friends, and community in both West Chester, PA and Sea Isle City, NJ throughout her life.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Wayne Megill and her sons Wayne Megill Jr., wife Kelly (Conley) Megill and Scott Megill, wife Kathleen (Bransfield) Megill. Her cherished grandchildren include Patrick, Daniel, Meghan, Erin, Ryan, Reagan, Shannon, Addison, Greylyn, and great granddaughter Rose. Barbara was also a loving sister to Jan Copeland (Kilduff) and Jack Kilduff (deceased) as well as a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Barbara instilled the love of playing cards in all her grandchildren, teaching each how to shuffle “the right way.” Weekend nights down the shore were spent playing 31 and, on Sunday mornings, Black Jack over donuts.

Barbara’s passions shone brightly—she was an avid reader, loved the beach, enjoyed traveling, and treasured spending time with friends and family. She held a special allegiance to the Philadelphia Eagles, making any claim of being simply a “fan” an understatement. Her warmth, generosity, and sense of humor created lasting memories for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 9-10:45am, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00am at St Maximilian Kolbe Parish (15 East Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, Pennsylvania). Barbara’s legacy of family devotion, community spirit, Eagles game day gatherings and lively card games continues through those who loved her dearly.
