Barbara A. Campo (nee Griffiths), 80, of West Chester, PA, passed away August 23, 2021 at home with her loving husband of 58 years by her side.
Born April 6, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Helen (nee Smith) Griffiths. Barbara was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. She worked for Penn Mutual and a nonprofit organization that assisted families of the aging before joining the staff of Ancona Montessori School. Barbara loved the children and her colleagues there.
Organized and creative, Barbara volunteered for many years in several capacities. She ran the school library at Notre Dame de Lourdes School in Swarthmore, participated in the school PTA, and assisted students at Cardinal O’Hara High School. In more recent years, she was part of the Welcome Committee at Deerfield Knoll where she lived for the past 23 years.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Frank J. Campo; loving mother of Leslie Campo (Claire Dente), Steven F. Campo (Karen), and Laura Rotelli (the late Ron); and adoring grandmother of Rebecca, Alex, Gavin, Shane, and Brooke. Her family and friends were blessed by her love, unending support and wonderful sense of humor.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation, 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Ss. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery.
