Badia Bajis "Betty" Shihadeh

Badia Bajis “Betty” Shihadeh, of Broomall, PA, a beloved figure who touched many lives, sadly passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born in Ramallah, Palestine, she was the daughter of the late Mousa and Julia (née Badra) Ayoub.

Betty was a gifted bread baker whose home was always filled with the aroma of fresh bread, welcoming anyone who walked through the door. Her home became a gathering place for family, friends and neighbors alike. Betty also loved visiting casinos and trying her luck with scratch off tickets, enjoying the fun and excitement they brought her. She loved to laugh and had a special gift for making others laugh. Above all, Betty will be remembered for her loving spirit, her generous heart, her laughter and the way she made everyone feel at home.

Betty’s dedication to her family was foundational to her identity. Her hospitable nature and fierce loyalty to her loved ones made her a cherished figure in their lives. At the end of her life, Betty came to realize that she needed the forgiveness of God and came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, humbly admitting she was a sinner and placing her faith in Him. Her faith brought her peace and hope.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Bajis G. Shihadeh; the loving mother of Raymond Shihadeh, Betsy Ashley, George Shihadeh, and Edward Shihadeh. She was the caring and devoted grandmother of 14 grandchildren and treasured great-grandmother of 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to honor Betty's life at a Viewing on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by Words of Remembrance commencing at 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Interment thereafter at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
