Arnold Abraham "Arnie" Zimmerman, age 75, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on May 5, 2018.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Arnie was the son of the late Irving and Esther Zimmerman (nee Brookstein).
Arnie served in the United States Army and had a long career in the home health care field as an administrator.
He was a long-time, active member of the community advisory council of the Northeast NORC, an aging-in-place program operated by Jewish Federation and Catholic Health Care Services.
Arnie is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret M. "Maggie" Fullmer (nee Daniels), his loving children Ian Zimmerman (Kerri), Melina Zimmerman, Missy Fullmer, Matthew Fullmer (Mary) and Kathryn Miller (Chris), his dear grandchildren Ryan and Riley Zimmerman, Meredith Davis, and John, Ryan, Liam and Connor Fullmer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Miriam Goldstein (Irving) and Helaine "Peachy" Schwartz (David). Arnie was extremely proud of his loving family, his Brooklyn roots and his service to our country. He served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion in his parish, visiting the sick and elderly.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, May 11, 2018 7:00-9:00 PM and Saturday, May 12, 2018 9:30-10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Andrew Parish Food Pantry at the above address or to Mercy Home Health, Suite 310, 1001 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064, for the Employee and Patient Assistance Fund to benefit those in need would be appreciated.
