Anthony H. Formelio, born on August 19, 1932, and a beloved resident of Glenolden, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, at the age of 93. He was a devoted husband, loving grandfather, and cherished friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
Tony dedicated his professional life as a sheet metal mechanic, a career he passionately enjoyed. His craftsmanship was not just a job but a true reflection of his strong work ethic and commitment to quality. Beyond his professional achievements, Tony also proudly served in the United States Army, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, underscoring his dedication to the nation and its values.
In addition to his career, Tony had a profound love for the arts. He enjoyed writing stories about life and poetry, showcasing his creative spirit. A talented artist, he expressed himself through various forms of artistic endeavors, delighting those around him with his imaginative works.
Tony was a devoted husband for 42 years to his beloved wife, Patricia (nee Connor) Formelio. In their life together, they created a loving family that includes their children: Anthony N. Formelio, Patricia M. Millas (Cesar), Mary F. Adams, and Edward Adams. He was a proud and loving grandfather who had a special bond with each of his grandchildren, Katelyn, Jeremy, Constandina "Dina", Caesar, Nicholas, Madeleine, Gavin, Samuel, Amanda, and Connor. He would do anything for his grandkids, cherishing the time spent with them as a highlight of his life.
Tony is also remembered as the beloved son of the late Michael and Rose (nee Psini) Formiglio. He was predeceased by his daughter, Theresa Formelio, and his son, Joseph A. Adams (survived by Karen). Tony is survived by 5 of his 12 siblings, adding to a legacy of love and support that he fostered within his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Tony’s Viewing 9:30-10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at The Knoetgen Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA 19070, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA
