Anthony Philip DiFelice

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Anthony (Tony) Philip DiFelice on September 18, 2026 at age 67 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones. Tony was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He was the devoted son of the late Lena and Camillo DiFelice.

Tony is survived by his life partner Ling Huang of Eagleville, Pennsylvania, his brother Daniel DiFelice and his wife Nicola of Sudbury, Massachusetts, and his nephews Alexander DiFelice and William DiFelice, both of New York City, New York. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tony was a proud 1977 graduate of Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware. Sallies was a transformative experience, and his love for his high school was boundless. In January 1982, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science with Summa Cum Laude honors. While at Penn, he was selected as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and a member of the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society. He was a member of the fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon. Tony loved Penn and was a loyal and active member of Penn’s Alumni community. As part of his commitment to Penn, Tony served as Vice President of the Engineering Alumni Society.

After graduating, Tony joined Exelon (PECO Energy Company) and dedicated more than 44 years to the company. Throughout his career, Tony consistently set a high standard, even in the face of personal health challenges. He distinguished himself as the go-to expert for complex regulatory topics, with a rare ability to explain intricate issues in clear and simple terms. He was a significant player in helping to manage many of the company’s regulatory filings.

While working, Tony earned a Master of Business Administration at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. Tony enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He was an adjunct professor at Drexel and taught finance courses at LeBow College of Business. He also enjoyed teaching the Utility Economics course at his company.

Tony was an amazing uncle to Alex and William. Tony cherished them. As a devoted son, Tony provided great care for his mother Lena for decades, especially during the final years of her life.

Outside of work, Tony was an avid reader of politics and history, drawing strength and inspiration from the figures he encountered in books. He was also a sports enthusiast and a formidable trivia opponent. As a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan, Tony was unmatched in his encyclopedic knowledge of his beloved teams.

Tony enjoyed fine dining and shared quality time with loved ones. One of his favorite travel destinations was Inner Harbor, Maryland. He enjoyed the peaceful waterfront view.

Tony will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tony’s visitation on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania 19073, followed by his funeral service there at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pennsylvania.
