Anne E. Stewart, a loving sister, devoted aunt, and wonderful friend, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on September 7, 1946, Nancy (as everyone called her) was known as someone who cherished her relationship with family and friends above all else. Her faithful commitment to those she loved will be a large part of Anne’s legacy.

Beloved daughter of the late John W. and Anne (nee Gorman) Cullen.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Kathy Cole, her granddaughter, Jacqueline Macartney, her siblings, Eugene J. Cullen, and Richard F. Cullen, as well as her many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William “Bill” Stewart, her brother John Cullen Jr, her sister Alice McNicholas, and her grandson, Gregory Macartney.

Anne worked for many years in the healthcare industry as a Hospital Admissions Receptionist. In her later years, Anne became a loving companion to many homebound women. This position allowed her dedication to the well-being of others to be fully realized.

Anne’s love for animals was profound; she was a strong supporter of ACPA and all animal shelters. She would always advocate for animals whenever given the chance.

Anne possessed an incredible memory for dates, serving as the keeper of all birthdays, weddings, and death dates, ensuring that her family remained connected through their shared stories and milestones. Her life was undeniably brightened and enhanced by hearing stories from her nieces and nephews, which filled her with joy and pride.

Anne was a faithful parishioner of the St. Laurence Parish, and her church and faith provided her great comfort.

Furthermore, Anne was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous for an impressive 54 years, showcasing her resilience and commitment to personal recovery and spiritual growth.

Anne leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support for others. A beloved figure in her community, Anne was a wonderful daughter, a cherished sibling, a beloved aunt, a devoted companion, and a nurturing presence for all those who knew her.

A Visitation will be held in Anne’s honor on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA. Interment at SS Peter and Paul, Springfield, PA.
