Anne C. Croisier

Anne Croisier, a lifelong scholar, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was 70 years old.

Born in Oakland, California, in 1956, Anne was the eldest child of Roger and Margaret Croisier. She spent her formative years in Seattle, Washington, where she developed the intellectual curiosity that would define her life.

Anne’s passion for education was boundless. She began her academic journey at the University of Washington, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning. Her quest for knowledge took her across the country, leading her to Temple University for a Master’s Degree in Sociology and later to the University of Michigan, where she earned her Doctorate in Sociology. Following post-graduate studies at the University of North Carolina, Anne returned to her beloved Philadelphia. She further expanded her expertise by earning an MBA from Temple University, an achievement that complemented her deep interest in social and urban issues. After completing her Education she worked in the Insurance Industry for several years.

While her academic pursuits took her many places, Anne proudly called Philadelphia her home for many years. She was a woman of sharp intellect who dedicated her life to understanding and improving the world around her.

Anne is survived by her two brothers, Roger (Nancy) and James (Tracey); her nieces, Bernadette and Charlotte; and a community of friends and former colleagues. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Generations Life Care for the compassionate support and care they provided Anne in her final years.
