On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Angelo S. Pagnotti passed away at the age of 73. He leaves behind his loving wife, Elisa Pagnotti, who together shared endless memories for more than two decades.
Born in Olyphant, PA to Julia and Dominic Ponelli, Angelo was predeceased by his parents and wife and mother of his children, Carmella. Survived by his wife, Elisa, children Angelo, (Beth), Christine, (Andrew Rydzewski) Stephen, (Liz), grandchildren Stephen, (Lizz), Ashley (Steve Krajnik), Cara, Natalie, Cody, Alex, Luke, great granddaughters Alana and Evelyn Alana, and goddaughter Elisa Hardeski. Angelo is also survived by brothers Dominic (Colette) and Louis (Marianne), as well as several nieces and nephews.
Angelo had a well-respected career as General Manager in the Electronic Security field. Over the years, Angelo volunteered with several non-profit organizations, including Aid for Friends, Caring for Friends and was an Extraordinary Minister at his church. Angelo was active in his local Knights of Columbus in his parish of Sacred Heart in Bridgeport, PA and also a Fourth Degree Knight.
Beyond work, Angelo had a love of books, a great talent for writing, and authored two novels. He had a passion for travel, and over the course of 25 years, he and Lisa travelled extensively, visiting many destinations around the world.
Family and friends knew Angelo to be a kind and gentle soul, always willing to help those around him. Having learned the value of mentorship and hard work, throughout his career Angelo acted as a mentor to several colleagues throughout his long career.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday, December 14, 2020 at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008. The viewing will be held from 11:30am-1:00pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Internment immediately following at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
At this unprecedented time, the family is unable to have a luncheon in Angelo’s honor following the burial. A celebration of Angelo’s life will be planned in the future.
