Angela K. Helms (nee Ruggeri), age 87, of Milmont Park, PA, passed away on March 17, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella Ruggeri (nee DiStefano).
Angela’s professional life as a medical claims representative was but one facet of her remarkable character. In her career, she demonstrated meticulous care and dedication, serving with integrity and commitment. Yet, it was in the tapestry of her personal passions and devotions that her true essence shone brightest.
A woman of deep spirituality, Angela was a devout Catholic who embraced her faith not only with words but through daily practice. Each day, she prayed the rosary, lifting up intentions for all in need, a testament to her loving and protective nature. Her relationship with Our Lord and the Blessed Mother was the cornerstone of her existence, sustaining her through life’s trials and triumphs alike.
Angela’s joys were as varied as they were heartfelt. She delighted in dancing with a youthful exuberance and found pleasure in the thrill of visiting the casino. An avid supporter of the Philadelphia Flyers, attending games was a cherished pastime, where her enthusiasm reflected her spirited nature. On quieter days, she found solace on her back porch, nurturing the simple joy of watching and feeding the wildlife that graced her presence—a reflection of her boundless love for all animals, including her cherished pets.
Her social soul flourished among family and friends, who were the center of her world. Angela treasured outings to Boscov’s and Pat’s Pizza, moments steeped in camaraderie and warmth. Her evenings often included watching her favorite television shows, such as Shark Tank and Deal or No Deal with Howie Mandel, alongside programs like Fox News and televised Sunday Mass, blending entertainment with spiritual nourishment.
Generosity was a defining trait of Angela’s character. She was a steadfast donor to numerous charities, with a particular affinity for St. Jude and Runaways Rescue, reinforcing her commitment to uplifting those less fortunate.
Angela was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Helms; loving mother of Renee C. Greszczuk (Casey); cherished sister of Linda K. Snider (George); adoring aunt of Karen Snider-Ravoni (Tony) and Christina Miller (Brian); devoted great-aunt of Alexis Snider and great-great-aunt of Sage Bell.
