Alvera "Vera" Dorothy Mascia, 92, died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her home in Wellington Hall, West Chester, after a lengthy illness.
She was the widow of the late Humbert Mascia who died in 1992.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Filomena Ciocca Moffa and Vitale Moffa.
A graduate of South Philadelphia High School for Girls, Alvera was a retired beautician and medical transcriber.
She was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Church, West Chester.
Mrs. Mascia is survived by a sister, Assunta Giraldi, of Philadelphia; a son, Robert L. Mascia of Dallas Fort Worth, TX; a daughter, Carol Wellings; a son-in-law, Ronald Wellings; a granddaughter, Amelia (Amy) Wellings; and a grandson, Michael (Mike) Wellings, all of West Chester.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-10:00 AM Monday, April 9, 2018 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382 followed by her Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM at SS Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
