Almeta Dickens

d. Dec 31, 2016

Almeta W. Dickens of Malvern, PA, formerly of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2016.

Born in Embreeville PA, Almeta was the daughter of the late Frank and Bertha (nee Houseman) Wilson.

Almeta was the beloved wife of Rodney E. Dickens; loving mother to Joanne (Richard) Haly, Sherri (Robert) Shaffer, Thomas (Deborah) Dickens, Jeff (Christine) Dickens; and dear Nana to Ashley Gonzalez, Bryan Haly and Laura Dickens.

Almeta spent her life surrounded by close family and friends. She enjoyed staying active, traveling to Cape May, shopping, and listening to music. Almeta adored animals, going for walks, and simply sitting on the porch. She will be remembered for her kind heart, no-quit attitude, but perhaps most for her contagious laugh.

She was predeceased by her siblings Eileen, Mae, Floria and Herbert.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-11:00 AM Saturday January 7, 2017, followed by her Funeral Service 11:00 AM at Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382.
