Alice Jean Stinson

Alice Jean Stinson, age 81, of Chester Springs, PA, formerly of West Bradford Twp., passed away on May 26, 2023. Born in Kensington Philadelphia PA, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Alice E. Ziegler (nee Bailey).

Jean attended Bryn Mawr Hospital Nursing School to become a Registered Nurse.  She worked at Bryn Mawr Hospital and several Doctor’s offices throughout the years.  Once she retired, Jean enjoyed being a Teacher’s Assistant at Kid’s Central Preschool. 

Jean started her walk with this lord as a young girl by attending Sunday School and Church at East Allegheny Methodist Church in Philadelphia.  She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church for many years, where she led Martha’s Circle and volunteered her time by visiting homebound church members.   Jean was a Charter member of Grace Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Jean enjoyed reading, entertaining and playing tennis.  She was part of an amazing group of ladies that played bridge together for over 40 years.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at the Jersey Shore.

Jean was the beloved wife of David L. Stinson; loving mother of Thomas D. Stinson (Tracy), Lori J. Rogan (Bernie), and Amy B. Jones; adoring grandmother of Katie Parkins (Brady), Conor Rogan, Noah Jones, Nicholas Jones, Carly Stinson, and Corinne Stinson; and caring sister of Elizabeth Ann Woolf and John Ziegler.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 444 Creamery Way, Exton, PA 19341, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Int. Private.
