Albert M. "Bud" McKeone

Albert M. "Bud" McKeone, age 94, of Havertown, PA, passed away on June 20, 2024. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Martin and Sadie McKeone (nee Borcky).

During his life, Bud honorably served in the US Merchant Marines and US Army, showcasing his unwavering commitment to duty and country. He was also a skilled electrician and retired from Amtrak.

Bud was born in Chester and raised in Trainer. After serving in the military he married the love of his life, Rita. They would have been married 69 years on July 9, 2024. He enjoyed spending time with family down the shore in Delaware, crabbing, fishing, golfing, gardening, hanging at the legion or the club, playing cards on the back porch, or just going to the beach. He also loved baseball whether it was going to the ballpark or watching his beloved grandson play. He was most proud of becoming a Great grandfather to his great granddaughter. 

He loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He always had a smile on his face. To list all his accomplishments, I would have to write a book. 

He will be greatly missed.

In remembrance of Bud, we recall his sharp wit, strong work ethic, and kind heart that touched the lives of many. He will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the love and care he shared with his family.

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Rita McKeone (nee Zukowski), his children John McKeone, Albert McKeone (Betsy), and Charlene McKeone. He also leaves behind his cherished grandson Martin McKeone and great-granddaughter Delainey McKeone. In addition to his immediate family, Bud is remembered by his nieces Debbie Garrity and Michele McKinney (Mike). And many many more beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Rose McMaster, Silvia Fedorchar, Mildred Wood, Martin McKeone Jr., Margaret Saltis, Sara Lupi, Jack McKeone, Charles McKeone, and Anne Winshell.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM on Friday June 28th, 2024 at Annunciation BVM Parish, 401 Brookline Blvd, Havertown, PA 19083. Interment Private.
