Adrienne A. Marta, age 59, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away suddenly on February 9, 2026 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Born on January 31, 1967 and raised in Drexel Hill, PA, she was the beloved daughter of Ralph F. and Rosalie C. Marta (nee Cella), and is survived by them. She attended Saint Andrew the Apostle elementary school in Drexel Hill, PA, Merion Mercy High School, and Rosemont College, where she was valedictorian.
Adrienne’s primary devotion was to her family, taking every opportunity to be with them and spend quality time together. She greatly enjoyed every birthday, family vacation, celebration, and the simpler moments with her loved ones. Adrienne is known among friends and family as someone who can light up a room with her infectious personality and witty humor, bringing joy and laughter to all those who knew her.
As a Certified Peer Specialist in the mental health field, she showed extraordinary empathy to support those in times of struggle with a deep sense of compassion. Her care for people extended to her heartfelt volunteer work – feeding the needy at food shelters and even personally making and hand delivering meals to the homeless in Philadelphia.
She was a woman of many talents. A gifted performer, Adrienne expressed her art as a professional actress (member of Actor’s Equity), dancer, and singer. Her talents extended beyond the stage; she was also an artist, channeling her creativity into visual expression. She was a gifted public speaker, utilizing her articulate nature to inspire high schoolers to follow their dreams and make good life choices. Adrienne also had passion for travel, particularly to the UK, where she spoke of many fond memories. Adrienne accomplished so much, all while fighting valiantly against her illness for her entire adult life.
In addition to her parents, Adrienne is survived by her devoted sister, Andrea Marta Omrod, and Andrea’s husband, Steve; her adoring nephew, Alexander Acrich, and his wife, Katelyn; and her caring cousin, Stephanie Longobardo, her husband, Vincent, and their children, Michael, Ethan, Frankie, and Madeleine.
Adrienne was a truly pure and beautiful soul. Her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of many, yet her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
