Michael Re

Michael J. Re, age 50, of King of Prussia, PA, passed away on May 8, 2020. Born in Drexel Hill to the late Guido and Jacqueline (nee Rindone) Re.

Mike graduated from Haverford Senior High School in 1988 and went on to become a long-time employee of Madsen Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, where he was not just an employee but was a beloved member of the Madsen Family.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and loved the hunt for a good cheesesteak or hoagie. He was also a huge music fan. He loved Nine Inch Nails, The Melvins, and Metallica, to name a few of his favorites. He enjoyed going to concerts, and as a hobby he liked to hunt for old music at thrift stores and flea markets. He refused to transfer his music from his IPOD to his phone. (Hey Mike, the 90s called; it wants its IPOD back).  Oftentimes, he could be found in his car blasting his music.

Mike loved all animals.  Oftentimes, he would make pop-up family visits just to get some puppy love.  Every time he visited his sister, he would comment on how much he missed her dog Igore and how he was the best dog, even though he wasn’t.  He was the only one who could get his niece’s dog Moe to calm down and sit still on his lap.  He also had his own cat, Kitty, for many years before her passing.

Michael is survived by his loving siblings Bill Re (Michele), Jackie Re McDuffie (Jim), and Stephen Re (fiancé Kristin Stires), and his beloved nieces and nephews Dana Mastrocola (Tommy) and Brittany Re (Tanya), Caroline Barone (Andy), Devin and Connor McDuffie, Steve Re (Tara), Jenna Fletcher (Justin), Alexis, Jordan, and Morgan Re, and great niece and nephews Haley, Carmella, Jensen, Gavin and William.

He is also survived by all their childhood friends who all called him “Uncle Mike”. Mike is predeceased by his loving brother John Re (Terry).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9-10 AM Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 AM. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed via The Donohue Funeral Home Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/thedonohuefuneralhome/ . Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
