Ronald C. Haney, age 66, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2019. Born in Darby, PA, and raised in Broomall, PA, he was the son of the late Reginald Esmond and Catherine Ruth Haney (nee Hill).
Ron was a 1971 graduate of Marple Newtown High School, where he was instrumental in founding the first Marple Newtown High School Ice Hockey Team. He was the Recording Secretary for the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 40, where he organized many charitable golf outings. He was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Clifton Heights, PA.
Ron worked as a Vending Technician for Pepsi-Cola for over 18 years until a work injury forced him to stop working. He enjoyed rooting for the Philadelphia Sports teams, deep-sea fishing, dancing at weddings, listening to all types of music, from the Beatles to Frank Zappa, and creating special moments with his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle M. Haney (nee Kephart), his loving children Stephen Haney (Jessica), Rachel Kessler (Kevin), Lisa Mullan (Sean) and Andrew Haney and his grandchildren Dylan, Brayden and Christian Kessler, Shay and Kaia Mullan and a new grandchild on the way. Brother of Bruce Haney (Gail), Alice Martin, Carolyn Snyder (Steve) and the late Donald Haney (Donna) and Gail Wigglesworth (Gary).

Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and Friday, November 8, 2019 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA and to his Celebration of Life Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
