Connie Jean (McElyea) D’Antonio, 75, of West Chester, PA, passed away, surrounded by her beloved family following a brief illness, on September 30, 2019.
Born in Coatesville, PA in 1943, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Gertrude (O’Brien) McElyea.
Connie was the beloved wife of James D’Antonio; loving mother of George (Ann), Michael (Anne Marie), Travis (Erin), and Todd (Brandy); adoring grandmother of Jane, Luke, Allison, Michael, Nicholas, Donovan, Brady, Brodie, and Brynn; dear sister of Tim McElyea and the late Gerri Dunlap; loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews who adored her.
Connie worked and lived for the love of home. She was a real estate agent for over 40 years and enjoyed finding the perfect home for others. She launched her own business, Focus Realty, forty years ago, at a time when women weren’t known for leading companies. She was a force and her smile could light up the room.
Meanwhile, she raised four sons and hosted every holiday for her friends and extended family. Her house was always decorated and open to those she loved to entertain. She was a phenomenal cook, and wrote a cookbook for her family that each member cherishes.
Each morning and evening she enjoyed spending time with her dogs. She was a kind, loving, and loyal friend to so many.
