Ruth Snell

Ruth Snell (nee Elkins), 96, of West Brandywine, PA, formerly of Concord Township, PA, passed away  September 17, 2020.

Born April 30, 1924 in Upland, PA she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and M. Evelyn (nee Wentzel) Elkins.

Ruth is survived by William R. Snell, her loving husband of 74 years; her sons Stephen, Kent and Paul Snell; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Wallingford since 1924. She was also a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Coatesville since 1998.

She was an active voice in the Holy Trinity choir for over 57 years and sang with the Village Singers of Freedom Village for many years.

She enjoyed painting, traveling, and had a great love for nature.

Ruth was an avid reader and worked in community libraries wherever she lived. She was involved with the organization of the libraries of Freedom Village and The Gardens.

Services will be private.
