Nellie Leicht

Nellie E. Leicht (nee Simmons), age 94, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on July 6, 2020.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Stella Simmons (nee Taylor).

In Nellie’s younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding.  She also enjoyed the beach in Ocean City, NJ.  She was a volunteer at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill and worked in the Gift Shop.

Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Herbert J. Leicht, her daughter Irene Millay and her brothers Leon and Joseph Simmons.   She is survived by her loving children Michael J. Leicht (Katherine), Thomas E. Leicht (Joan), Joseph H. Leicht (Stephanie) and Francis Leicht (Patricia).  Also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, July 9, 2020 6:00-8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA.  Interment will be private.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are to be worn for the viewing.
