Joan Maffei

Joan passed away on January 23 peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who enjoyed the simpler and sweet things life had to offer. Joan loved to indulge in a piece of fudge or drink a chocolate milkshake. She spent many weekends in Ocean City Maryland with family and friends. When she wasn't baking a cake you could find her watching a sporting event or at the casino playing slots with her beloved husband of 66 years. While Joan will be greatly missed by all who knew her, we find peace in knowing she is now reunited with her only child Joe where they can live together happily for eternity.

Joan is survived by her loving husband Joseph, her adoring grandchildren Jackie Maffei (Jason Ruditys), Allison Maffei, Thomas Maffei and her caring sister Benay Forte. She was predeceased by her parents Benjamin & Dorothy (nee Daley) Forte, sisters Margaret Ziegler & Dot Ford and devoted son Joseph Jr.
