Anthony Stracciolini

Anthony Joseph Stracciolini, age 89, of Garnet Valley, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on January 22, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony and Yolonda Stracciolini (née Cacchione).

Anthony was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the Director of the Medical School computer facility at the University of Pennsylvania.  He was also an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics for 50 years at Villanova University. He kept the statistics for the Oakland A’s in the late 1970’s through the early 1980’s.

Anthony coached baseball with Llanerch Hills Little League and also coached softball at Agnes Irwin and the Shipley Schools.  He also coached squash at the Baldwin School.

He was an intelligent, compassionate, funny, caring and welcoming man.  A devoted family man, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Anthony was the loving husband, for 65 years, of Rosalba Stracciolini (née Villani); beloved father of Lisa Vannicola (Leonard), Anthony Stracciolini (Kimberly), Paula Costlow (David), Andrea Stracciolini (Robert Ross), Eugene Stracciolini (Susan) and Charles Stracciolini (Seema); and dear grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A private Memorial Mass will take place 10:30 AM Friday, January 29, 2021. His Memorial Mass will be livestreamed on https://www.facebook.com/thedonohuefuneralhome and also at

for those who cannot attend in person. Interment private.

A Life Celebration for all to attend will be held at a later date.
