Herbert Martin, 87, of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on April 18, 2018.
Born in Collingdale, PA in 1930, Herbert was the son of the late David A. and Alice (McElroy) Martin.
He served honorably in the US Navy and worked as a telephone repairman for Bell Telephone.
Herbert was the loving husband of the late Alice (McCormick) Martin; loving father of Susan M. Vaites (George), William H. Martin (Carrie), Helen M. Dengler (John) and the late Patricia A. Horseman; dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren.
He loved Eagles football, gardening and playing golf. He enjoyed music and played multiple instruments.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-10:50 AM Monday, April 30, 2018 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
