To the family of Mr. Stankiewicz: I am a graduate of Holy Cross and
Mr. S was one of my favorite teachers. He was smart, had a dry wit
and was a really tough teacher! He was so difficult, I learned how to
study effectively. That skill helped me in all of my educational and
training endeavors. He often made reference in class about his kids;
we felt like we knew you. I am so sorry for your loss. Know that he
had a positive impact on many kids. Thanks for sharing him with us.

My sincerest and hearfelt condolences to the family! May you find
comfort in the Bible promise that if you draw close to God in prayer,
"he himself will sustain you."-Psalm 55:22. The God of the
Bible says that there is going to be a resurrection (John 5:28 & 29)
in which we will be able to see our loved ones again. In fact it says
that the righteous themselves shall possess the earth, and they will
reside forever upon it." May these words prove to comfort and
sustain you at this time.

Paul & Joan:
My heart goes out to you both on the loss of your beloved son, Dennis.
You probably do not remember me, but my sister Janice Anderson, used
to babysit Craig & Dennis when they were little. I remember Dennis as
a sweet little boy. He grew up to be a handsome young man. I
don't know if you know this, but my sister Jan passed away from a
brain aneurysm on July 6, 2006. Two of her boys, Jimmy & G.J.
(George) have also passed away, 1996 & 1999 respectively. My sister
Janice will hold your son Dennis, as she holds her own sons in Heaven.
My condolences go out to his wife Heather & his children Kora and

Dear Heather,
My deepest sympathy for your loss. I knew Dennis for only a short
time as our Account Executive for Genworth Financial’s Surety program.
He was a talented executive. He impressed us with his intellect,
tenacity and strong interpersonal abilities that helped him easily
build relationships so critical in our business.
But what I remember most about Dennis was the lunch we had at a local
Thai restaurant where he shared stories about you, your children and
made us laugh with his self deprecating humor about being from Maine
(smile).
I could tell he loved you and your children dearly. He will be
missed. I wish you all the best and hope that your sorrow is comforted
over time with the fond memories of your beloved husband.
Sincerely

- The Late: Mr. George Wade, Jr.
To the Family of Mr. George Wade:
I would like to express my condolences to you for the loss of your
husband, father and brother, Mr. Wade.
When someone we love dies, how grateful we can be that God has
provided His word, the Bible, for comfort. Jesus stated at John 5:28
that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs
will hear his voice and come out". This means that those who
have died, including Mr. Wade, will be resurrected, or brought back to
life, to be reunited with their loved ones on a peaceful earth that
has been restored back to a paradise by Jehovah God. This is a
promise that we should all look forward to being fulfilled.
I hope this has provided some comfort and hope during this time in
your life. Once again, I express my deepest sympathy.

To my Beloved husband Jim you left me way to soon, we were to grow old
together but your lungs felt a different way and you were taken from
me.
I visited you everyday with hopes that you would get better and be
able to come home with me but that never happened.
I told you on the 23rd of March that I was letting you go on March
24th but you decided you had other plans and passed March 23rd at 5:45
PM. Wish I was there to hold you on your journey but I was there after
the fact but I was able to hug and kiss you Good-bye.
I'll Always LOVE YOU and ALWAYS Miss YOU...Your Loving Wife

- The Late: Pauline Marturano
I met Mrs. Marturano for the first time in June, 1963 when I arrived
at her house to take her daughter to the movies. I can see myself
sitting in her living room when she came in from the kitchen and
introduced herself to me. At the time, she was 35 years old, a young
mother. She asked what movie we were going to and suggested that Mr.
Marturano drive us there. I knew she had a daughter and that her
daughter had a sister and two brothers but when I went downstairs to
go to the car, there were three other little girls playing in the
basement who stopped what they were doing and stared at me. For some
reason, I thought they were neighbors’ kids. I was wrong about that
and I was just beginning to discover Mrs. Marturano. I really liked
her daughter but there were no more dates that summer. Later that
year, I went back to Mrs. Marturano’s house to try this date thing
again and, by that time, I had found out that those three girls in the
basement were not neighbors. I was fascinated that Mrs. Marturano had
all these kids. Eventually, I became a fixture at this house and
witnessed her family grow exponentially. There would be four more
children; then in-laws; then grandchildren; then in-laws of
grandchildren; then great grandchildren. During all this time, she
loved and nurtured this family as it grew and grew.
Mrs. Marturano was there to give her approval for her daughter to ride
in the car with me when I first got my driver’s license. She was
there taking the pictures of us at a Soph Hop, Junior Proms, Senior
Proms…. She was our own personal paparazzi. She was there when I
graduated from high school and college. Everything milestone in my
life (good or bad) she was there for. She always offered
encouragement, never being judgmental.
Mrs. Marturano (and Mr. Marturano) gave me their blessing when I got
around to asking them if I could make their daughter my wife (despite
the fact that I had nothing; no job, no car and no house and I was
still sharing bunk beds in my parents’ house with my brother).
Apparently, she saw something in me that I didn’t even see.
It took me a couple months after our 1969 wedding but that was the end
of Mrs. Marturano. It was then that Mrs. Marturano became Mom and to
me she will be forever Mom. I am proud to be a part of her big,
beautiful family. She did not give me life but she gave me Michele,
my wife, and together we made our family and a life together as part
of her larger family.
Being Mom was her life’s work. I lost my own Mom 15 years ago and
although I was 47 then and my mother had been very ill, I remember how
awful the sorrow felt. To Dad, Michie, Paula, Michael, Joey, Cindy,
Carla, Andie, Christie, Tommy, Pete and Brother Paul, I wish that I
could lift your sorrow but I cannot. It is a natural feeling.
However, I can tell you that at some point this sorrow will fade and
you will be left with only happy memories of Mom. There will be many
of those happy memories for you. As my Dad told me the other night,
she certainly “left her mark on this world”. He was talking about all
of you. You are her legacy and it is a legacy of which she was
rightfully proud .
To Mom, I thank you for letting me be part of your family. Requiescat
in pace. I will miss you. Richie

Dear Melissa,
I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I pray the
dark cloud of sorrow that burdens your heart will be lifted by the
bright sunshine of memories that will make you smile and not cry.
While weeping may endure for a night, joy will surely come in the
morning. --With Deepest Sympathy
