John was one of my closest cousins and I have many fond memories of
our childhood and growing up in Greenlawn. I spent many, many weekends
with him and his family throughout high school. Though separated in
adulthood by too many miles, he will forever be in my heart.
My prayers to his immediate family Carolyn, his sons and to Aunt Rose,
Phyllis and Stanley. May he rest in peace now in the hands of the
Lord.
Also, Michael Ford, who was a close friend asked me to convey his
sadness as well as prayers for the family.

Marge and I are saddened by the loss of Fritz, our dentist and friend
for many years. Fritz and his wife Ruth were always a cheerful and
competent team, skilled at their craft and thoughtful of their
patients. As an
indication of Fritz's knowledge of his patients, he referred us
to another of
his patients whom he knew arranged programs for Elderhostel. This
suggestion
to us resulted in Marge and I presenting our own Elderhostel program
in
Virginia for 13 years. And we and many others knew of his care and
feeding of
several swans in a nearby lake at Eastern University -- and wonderful
sign
of Fritz's humanity and thoughtfulness. He will be greatly

I am unbelievably saddened to learn of Jim's sudden passing. Jim
and I had been friends for almost 10 years and were in touch usually
more or less on a weekly basis. When he didnt answer his text twice in
a row I knew something bad had happened, as he was as reliable as any
friend could be. Jim and I shared the same sense of humor and he was
always there to offer a hilarious, irrevernet and insightful take on
just about anything. We worked together at several different mortgage
stints as well and always talked about the economy, religion, politics
and any other crazy topic we could come up with. In many ways, he was
like a brother to me, and I'm pretty sure the feeling was mutual.
I will miss all of the good times we had together and I struggle to
think of a time there was ever a cross word between us. My heart goes
out to his family as I know how much he loved and cared about you all.
He was truly a great guy and in many ways a "unsung" hero to
more than a few people. I'm really gonna miss him an awful
lot......
Jim....if you are out there somewhere...thanks or being such a good
friend. I'll never forget the good times we shared. And as you
would always say....thank you for shopping!

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. I can only

close to your father and that he was a wonderful man.
When you mentioned that your father had been in hospice, this poem
came to mind:
God Saw You Getting Tired
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
"Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

would bug Glenn and Richard to go and ask your mom, if I could go in
it . I was too little and short to make the cut! Dodey always loved
your mom! I am sure that Dodey is happy to see her, they are sharing
many Windsor memories!!

My deepest sympathy to all the Wright family- I had the pleasure of
playing baseball for Chalky and his support in me boosted my
confidance at a time when i really needed it. One thing I will never
forget was in Gym class around 1976 when Chalky wanted us to punt a
football in the gym- he said "try to kick it the length of the
court into the basket (Basketball) at the other end of the Gym like
this" He demonstrates and I think even he was shocked when he
swishes the football through the net from 30 yards away. He was a
classic and will be missed.

Sharon and your family are in our prayers. She's at peace and I
know you'll find peace knowing she raised a great family and made
so many people happy throughout her life. I always remember her as
funny - in a real and intellectual way - wordly, thoughtful, and
confident. She was a role model for all of us who frequented your home
on Reservoir Road. From the Little League fields to our adult lives
she was encouraging and so nice. It's hard to find a way to close
on a note like this so I borrowed a very fitting writing from Psalms
as we are all saints in His eyes and Sharon will be welcomed into His
kingdom:
Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.
Psalms 116:15

- The Late: Sharon Morrissey
I think I liked Sharon right away. Even before I actually met her.
Cricki and I started living together in November of ’73. No, not the
one just after the Civil War. The other one. 1973. We lived up in
Hollywood Heights then and would spend tranquil afternoons crashed out
on the handmade water bed someone had made for Cricki before I ever
showed up. The phone by the bed would ring, it would be Cricki’s
sister Sharon back in Pennsylvania, or Cricki would call her, and
they’d talk. Forever. One afternoon, the big color TV ablaze with
the Giants and the Dodgers (An exercise that required my complete
attention and managerial skills without which the Giants were
helpless), Cricki, phone to ear, said to me “My sister wants to know
if you’re a Jew for Jesus”. This was a period in Sharon’s life that
leaned to the religious and she took it pretty seriously. Now,
respectfully, I’m not particularly religious. In fact, next to me,
Bill Maher wears a hair shirt and has stigmata. But I respect
everyone’s position. And since we’re family I would physically defend
those positions if it came to that. And who can claim perfection
anyhow? But you’re asking me this deep, philosophically metaphysical
question now? I got a ball game to manage and you break my
concentration and telepathic connection with the team for this? So I
say “Tell her I’m a Jew for the Giants”. And Cricki tells her this.
After a moment I ask “What’d she say?” “She’s laughing” said Cricki.
“She thinks she likes you.” Well OK then. Sharon asked an earnest
question, I answered like my ass knew two and two, and if Sharon liked
me after that, well then I liked her.
What I loved and respected most about her was..and I believe this,
that before her feet hit the floor in the morning, Sharon was already
figuring out how to be better than she was the day before. And if you
were hers, she was there for you tough times and otherwise. If Sharon
had an obsession that was it. There was, for example, the great
Turkish Taffy caper. Cricki and I, for reasons known only to whomever
you’re into, suddenly got into this thing for Bonomo’s Turkish Taffy.
Candy we’d had as kids. And neither one of us was pregnant. We had
no idea if it was still made or who would carry it but we figured
Philly was still turning out Tasty Cakes so maybe. Naturally we
called Sharon, who was only slightly less mystified by this than she
would have been watching lightning turn Michael into Captain Marvel,
but she found it and she sent it. Lots of it. Boxes and boxes of
Vanilla, Banana, Strawberry, and Chocolate dental cap dislodging goo.
If they had made garlic taffy she’d have sent that too. Halloween
couldn’t come fast enough.
Sharon would navigate my train trips from New York to Paoli like
she was channeling Marco Polo and I knew there was a chicken cheese
with onions and mushrooms waiting at the Pepper Mill. If I was there
overnight there was already a bag of bagels on the kitchen counter and
Philly cream cheese in the fridge . In the morning her kitchen
smelled like coffee and bacon and we’d sit at the round table with the
sun coming through the glass doors and talk quietly about kids or
vitamins or the shape of the planet. Sharon was my family and so was
everything attached her. On certain Thanksgivings that found me on
the road, that family was there for me, my fifth of Tequila and
whatever else (as long as I toked it in the back yard) and everything
was warm and comfortable and family. Sharon was the lynchpin.
I certainly understand that Sharon is not immediately here but I
don’t see her as gone or that we’ve lost her. That’s not possible.
Truly good things never die so how could we lose her? She is so
inside all of us and, in moments when we need to, we’ll hear her. How
could we not? The last time I saw Sharon, and this is how I’ll
remember her, she was holding court on the couch next to the fire
place and that fox in his red hunting coat and boots who I think walks
around the house at night going through drawers. She was pretty,
smiling, courageous, loving, and looked me over in a way that made me
think that if she thought for a moment that I’d look better on the
train she’d have gotten up and pressed my pants. She’d have pinned a
note to my jacket reading “This is my brother in law. If he’s lost
call ************ and one of us will come and get him.” Sharon
covered it all. She was and remains my sister in law, my sister, my
good and true friend, my family. Love and respect do not simply pass
away. They go on forever and that’s how it is and will be with me and
Sharon.

To the Davis Family,
I was so shocked to hear of Peggys death.
I would work on Peggy's hair, and we always chatted about the
vacation she shouldn't be taking, or how she would retire always
next year. Libby was the apple of her eye, and how proud she was of
Lisa.
I will miss her! Rest in Peace Peggy

I don't know if you remember me, I am Ziggy Kowalewski's

thoughts and prayers were with you, I will always remember when sam

city made it impossible to keep one. Loving horses as I still do today
always makes me think About Sam saling and a pony I could have had, I
also remember an Army reunion that I attended with my dad, they were
always thrilled to see one another, great long freindship they had.
Take care. Sincerely, Loretta

The world has lost a great and dedicated man first of all to his
family who he loved dearly, then to his community he served his whole
life. I had the pleasure of working with Dick at Donohue's for
many years he was always professional and dedicated to the families
that we served and I will always remember the fun times we had while
working or even the christmas parties. Dick I'll miss you may God

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say but first of
all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from
Heaven, here I dwell with God above, there is no more sadness, here is
just eternal love. Please do not be unhappyjust because I'm out
of sight. Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and
night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was
through,God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome
you. It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you
were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly, you're part of my plan. There's so
much that we have to do to help our mortal man. God gave me a list of
things, that he wished for me to do, And foremost on the list was to
watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the days
chores put to fight. God and I are closest to you...in the middle of
the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving
years because your only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But
do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain. Remember there
would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could
tell you all that God has planned but if I were to tell you, you
wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life
on earth is over, I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb, but
together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my
philosophy and I'd like it for you too...that as you give unto
the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody
who's in sorrow and pain, the you can say to God at night...
"My day was not in vain". And now that I am contented...that
my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made
somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When
you're walking down the street and you've got me on your
mind, I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And
when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free,
remember you're not going...your coming here to me.

Dear Bill,
Peggie and I were deeply saddened when we heard Fr. Gerlach announce
on Sunday that Lori had answered the Lord's call Saturday evening
and returned home.
We have been praying for her, for you and all your family and will
continue to do so, especially in these difficult days and months
ahead.
Lori came to us when she learned that Christine Ambrose was our
daughter. Someone in St. Joe's Parish suggested Lori pray to
Chris for intercession with Our Lord for healing. Now they are friends
in Paradise and praying for all of us.
May your great faith sustain you Bill, and may the promise of Jesus -
'that He will raise her up on the last day' - provide you
comfort and hope.
All our love and blessings!
